How it Works

Most colour analysis begins on the outside, with your skin, hair and eyes. Astrology Colours begins on the inside, with the birth chart drawn for the moment you were born.

More than just your star sign

You may already know your Sun sign's element - whether you are a fire, earth, air or water sign. It is a familiar starting point, and a useful one.

But the Sun is only one of the three planets* that colour your world, and each of them falls in a sign of its own. For example, you might have a fiery Sun, a watery Moon and an earthy Venus: three quite different natures in a single person.

Three planets, three contexts

Three planets shape your relationship with colour, each tied to a different part of your life.
Your Sun is your core identity - who you are at your centre, and who you are growing into. It governs stepping out and being seen: work, public life, and the times you want to make an impression.
Your Moon is your inner life - what settles you, and what you reach for without thinking. It governs home and everyday comfort: rest, family and close friends, and the times you are simply being yourself.
Your Venus is your eye for beauty - what you find lovely. It governs occasions: dressing up, social evenings and romance, and the times you want to feel at your most attractive.

Your Astrological Colour Palettes

From your Sun, Moon and Venus come three colour palettes, one for each of those parts of your life.
You take them away as a set of laminated palettes bound by a gold ring, to keep, carry and use when you shop or want to dress authentically.

What I'll need from you

To find out your Sun, Moon and Venus signs I need three things: the date, the time and the place of your birth.
Since the Moon changes sign every 2-and-a-half days, the time of your birth - ideally to within 10 minutes - matters. If you don't know it, don't worry, as we can determine your likely Moon sign when we meet, and I will bring both possible Moon sign palettes.

* We all know that the Sun and the Moon are not planets (from the ancient Greek for 'wanderer'), but it's useful shorthand to describe them as such, and for thousands of years, the Sun and Moon were regarded as two of the seven classical planets: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn.
